Services for Lawrence Paul Swistek will be held Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at 1 p. m. at Community Adventist Church with Pastor Will Labrenz and Ken Moser officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Swistek, 47, of Meridian, passed away January 28, 2012 at Anderson Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Swistek worked for 21 years with Dowdle Gas Company. He was a member of Meridian First/Community Adventist Church for over 30 years. Mr. Swistek was an amateur radio enthusiast. He was a deacon and youth Sabbath School Teacher. He will be remembered as a very loving husband, father, grand-pop, brother, son, uncle and a good friend to many.

Survivors include his wife of 26 years, Kimberly Weir Swistek; two sons, Nicholas Swistek and his wife Libby, and Luke Swistek; grand-son, Brayden Swistek; parents, Joseph and Carolyn Swistek of Bailey; mother-in-law, Ann Cochran; father-in-law, Eugene Weir; sister, Lisa Zeller; brothers, Richard and Robert Swistek; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Tammy; and niece, Bethany Hamilton.

The family request memorials be made to Community Adventist Church.

Pallbearers will be Richard Swistek, Nicholas Swistek, Tommy Greene, David Burg, Curtis Cupit, and Kenneth Robert Moser.
