MARC Donation Information

The Meridian Amateur Radio Club (MARC), located in Meridian, Mississippi, is an IRS-approved 501(c)(3) tax-exempt non-profit charitable corporation. Among the many benefits of being such an organization is the ability to seek donations of cash, durable goods, and services from individuals, corporations, and charitable foundations. All donations to MARC are tax-deductible.

If you or your company would like to make a cash donation or a donation of merchandise or services to MARC, simply contact any of our club officers (only MARC officers are allowed to accept donations on behalf of MARC). Current listing of MARC officers may be found at the Member Directory. You will be given a receipt that includes all of the information required for taking a tax-deduction. Note that your annual dues are not tax-deductible, but anything above and beyond your dues are tax-deductible.

Cash donations will be applied to the MARC general fund to purchase, support, and maintain the operation, training, administration, and emergency activities of the Meridian Amateur Radio Club. If you donate a piece of merchandise or a service, MARC reserves the right to accept or refuse a donation. Additionally, MARC accepts donations under the condition that they are deemed free of any claim, lien, or liability, and that the Donor understands that the donation becomes the sole property and responsibly of the MARC with exclusive rights to use, disposal, or liquidation, except in the case of donated services by which the Donor, in writing, specifies conditions under which services may be removed. When a donation of merchandise is made, you will be responsible for determining the cash value of the item for your tax purposes.
