Meridian Amateur Radio Club (MARC) owns the W5FQ repeater and operates on 146.700 MHz with a 100 Hz PL Tone. An ARES 2-meter net is held every Tuesday evening at 7PM or 8PM depending on the time of year. All amateur radio operators are invited to participate.
Several MARC members get together at The Checker Board Restaurant located at 2223 South Frontage Road for breakfast and coffee on Saturday mornings from (approximately) 9:30AM - 11:30AM.
Business meetings are held in the back room of The Checker Board Restaurant on the first Saturday of each month beginning at 10 AM pending any conflicts. Our next business meeting will be held on Saturday December 6th, 2014. Come join us!
09/22/2013 - I talked to a fellow in Citronelle AL this morning on the 146.940 - Mobile Repeater. He has his repeater up and running in Citronelle, AL. 147.225 + 203.5 Tone. Meridian W5YI Volunteer Exams
Test dates are the 2nd Tuesday of each month except Aug. Test start at 7:00 PM at the Meridian Aviation building at Meridian Airport. Meridian Aviation building is the large building BEFORE getting to the airport main terminal. If coming from I-20/I-59 it will be on the right side of the road. Cost of the test is $14.00
